Venio was founded in Sydney, Australia by Subash Khadka, an Information Technology student and repair technician with a clear frustration and a straightforward solution.
Device repair had not changed in decades. Customers were expected to travel across the city, surrender their device for days, and pay prices they never saw coming. For something as essential as a phone or laptop, that experience was simply not good enough.
Venio was built to change it. The platform connects customers with vetted, professional technicians who come directly to them: at home, at the office, at university or anywhere in between. A booking takes two minutes. A technician arrives the same day. The repair is completed on the spot, with a 6-month workmanship warranty and payment held securely until the job is done.
The name says it all. Venio is Latin for I come, a single word that captures everything this platform stands for.
Sydney deserved a better repair experience. Now it has one.
I started Venio because I had a cracked screen and no way to get it fixed without losing my phone for three days. I was a student. I could not afford that. I figured thousands of people in Sydney had the exact same problem, and nobody had built the right solution yet. So I did.

Sydney has no shortage of repair shops. But most of them are unreliable, charge inconsistent prices, and take two to three days to complete a job that should take 30 minutes. For a city that moves as fast as Sydney, that is simply not good enough.
Starting local also meant we could get the quality right before scaling. Every technician we onboard goes through a skills assessment. That is only possible when you are not trying to cover an entire continent on day one.
